salmon arm,
I have had my 92 talon off the road for the winter and since spring is comming it's time to get 'er out again. My lifters on my to-do list before it gets out though, they make more ticking that you can even imagine. I removed the cover so i can see what's going on and I see that some of the cam followers/rollers are able to be moved, and some are not. There are 4 movable total with some worse than others. I am actually able to push them down or compress them using a screwdriver.
I currently have reground 272's. the total amount ground off is 80 thou total or 40 thou measered from the center axis out all the way around. For shims I have got 60 thou shims which I don't think is helping.
Please let me know if:
1) This means that they are screwed if any movement is possible?
2) Is there a way to check the lifters if they are removed?
3) There is a good link to get these lifters out the easy way
4) What the heck do I have to do to get this tacking gone, ANYTHING
5) I am just cursed, jj
Thank you soo much for any help you may be able to provide
