Should I get this ? I'm going to offer 3000 TBH I've never drove a stick shift but I have rode clutched quads and I pretty sure I can handle a manual car. Using combo of feet and hands to shift isn't anything new.

1995 eagle talon tsi awd
5 speed with a short shifter
grey leather with power drivers seat
red with black trim(Hood, wing, door handles, gas door)
17" black 5 spoke wheels with new tires

THE GOOD:
DSMLINK V3
was told when i bought it that it has evo 8 internals.
t40e 50 trim turbo
46mm external wastegate
hallman pro mbc
precision pte 680cc injectors
walbro 255 lhp fuel pump
4" custom intake with k&n filter
aem uego wideband with white face
glow shift gauge pod
7 inch dvd/cd touch screen
custom 3" straight pipe exhaust(catless but has test pipe it will pass inspection)

THE BAD:
exhaust needs finished
drivers side outside door handle needs put on(have it but need put on)i got around 4-4500 in the car. i guess my loss is your gain...

make me an offer. worse i can do is turn it down.

looking to sell outright or maybe trade. NO JUNK OR PROJECTS.
let me no what u have to trade. worse i can do is say no.

Looks like a pretty good deal if that's all that is wrong with it honestly. Go for it, but don't forget to check all the other areas for problems first.

If you are really interested go check it out, check every little detail in the engine bay and under the car, oil, coolant, etc. any doubts? don't buy it and come ask in the forums, we can help with your concern...if it was me i wouldn't bother looking at it, i try to stay away from dsm's that have been messed around with too much, there's a good chance they didn't do it right, that it has a problem and trying to get some money out of it...good luck

I agree with this... too much hassle.

When DSMs get messed with they often get messed up LOL. That being said you never know how low he will go, the best thing to do is scrutinize the car and voice all doubts. Crankwalk, worn bearings, bad bushings, vacuum lines missing/leaking (ive seen a dsm with the FPR not hooked up..), what will YOU have to spend to finish it? Dont be afraid of the car getting bought up, unless its a smoking deal they tend to linger for awhile.

Whatever you do make sure you check for CW with a small pry bar or the like. Also, I noticed he didnt mention an AFPR, so check and see if it has one, if it doesn't chances are the stocker has been overran. Which means it could be running really rich or doggy. So what Im saying is if its running laggy I would look to that as a simple issue to fix.

Also, you should go into this understanding that it takes a lot of us months, even years, to get a full grip on the mechanics and diagnostics of these cars. If it's your only mode of transportation, or you have no tools, garage, jack, or spare money saved up, then these cars just wont be a good experience for you. Especially since you dont know what all has happened or been done to it.

THE GOOD = stuff that has been messed with :D LOL

rust: rear wheel wells, strut towers, underbody

take a laptop w/link installed! run that tune, check for bad signs.

im still learning daily. you will be ASE certified soon LOL

Sounds like it has an Ebay turbo and wastegate by that post. Also, like stated before check everything. Even the slightest leak could be a massive problem.

I wouldnt offer anywhere near 3000 for that thing. Look at the front bumper. Its not even lined up with the hood or the headlights. It looks like it was in a small collision. Offer him 1000 and be done with it. You can get so much better for 3000.

i say hold out that car has been ragged out and looks to have been wrecked if your going to spend the money on a dsm go for one that is already in good shape not one that needs a ton of work to be in good shape maitenence repairs can be as expensive as performance upgrades keep that in mind
