should i buy this turbo or no?

The SSAutochrome turbos are known for being failure-prone units. Some people have success with them, most don't.

It's not a real MHI 16g. You buy it at your own risk.

Darn it i knew it was too good to be true. So these turbos suck?:(

Your original question "Should I buy this turbo or not?" has been asked about ten times this month, and the majority of them include a link to an ebay ad that looks exactly like yours. The overwhelming majority of DSM'ers who care about the quality of their parts would never buy a turbo from SSAutochrome that lies about what it is. The ad says it's an Evo III Big 16g. It's obviously not. It's a clone of the MHI turbo, and it is known to fail at an alarming rate.

I understand the need for people to buy parts at the lowest price possible. But I would prefer to spend the extra money buying a part from a vendor such as SBR, RRE, ForcedPerformance, Buschur, etc, and know that there's an actual brick-and-mortar company that's responsible for the quality of my turbo, not some Ebay super-seller middleman that offloads a bunch of Chinese knock-off parts onto an unsuspecting group of buyers. My preference for a way of doing things may differ from yours, though, and if someone's perfectly happy buying parts that have no vendor support, they're free to do so.

Yes I would not get it either. Right on the the add it says its an evo 16g built by stone racing corporation. So you know for sure it is a knock off mitsu turbo. Always buy a real mitsu turbo. Most other's have been known to fail.
