what do you think of this car...granted there isnt alot of pics and the info sounds good

just give me or oppinons please and are the 99's more prone to things, like something special i should be looking for?

I'd think you could buy a gst or gsx (or talon equivalent) for that much...Maybe not as low of miles, but its possible, lots of guys here have turbo's for low miles for less than that. Just depends on what you want I guess.

In my oppinion, it sounds like an awesome deal, but keep in mind that putting a turbo on a non-turbo car can lead to alot of headaches without the proper mods. 1999 is a great year for the eclipse so that's not something i would worry about, but i didn't see any type of fuel mods or engine management listed at all. I would definitely look deeper in what he has done to it before you buy it. Bringing someone with a good amount of DSM knowledge wouldn't hurt either. Good luck with the car!

For 7500 I would pick up a 97ish TSi AWD, or at least a turbo one. If your going for power, build up a turbo model. It's a better platform to build on then a 420a motor. Try searching ebay and using the zip code option, carsoup, cars.com, classifieds here, classifieds in the paper. I wouldnt settle with anything less then what makes you happy, because it is a big investment.

Well first of all make sure he has at least 550cc injectors with at least a 190lph fuel pump, then look if he has s-afc/ aem ems/ dsmlink something along the lines of fuel management. Putting a T4 turbo on a 420a is a big step, i'd also check and see if he has any internal work done on it. Honestly, if you have 7,500 dollars, i would just buy a turbo dsm to begin with. I mean, yea you save money on insurance and what not, but you'll be using all that to fix the little problems that comes your way. Especially since you don't have friends around who've dealt with these kinds of cars before, your going to be in for alot of headache. Dsmtuner guys are awesome, but it's one thing when someone is telling you how to do something as opposed to someone showing you how to do something. In conclusion, by a 1g DSM and take the rest of that money and build a beast.
But hey if you really want that car then don't let us spoil your fun, but good luck with whichever way you decide on going

this is the best advice i've seen yet,car looks clean,just gotta drive it and try to keep it on for a long time to make sure it wont overheat.
