Should I buy another DSM?

This local guy has a 97gs-t he will sell me for $2,200. it has 150k on it, great body, steel wheels. everything is completely stock engine wise. the hatch is off of an rs and has a big spoiler on it, and it needs a front bumper.

You guys think i should go for it? this will be dsm #6..maybe 7 i can't keep track real well.

oh yeah, i test drove it, and it runs great.

doesnt sound bad, 2k for a gst. mileage is a little high but if compression checks out and it runs good then itll be fine.

hes actually a mechanic..so am i but i think hes a better one. we can probably do a compression test right where it is...at midas.

That is a great price for a turbo car. I would get it but then again i only have one dsm.

I almost had a 95 tsi for $1k, it had 150k miles and was auto. Helped my freind get it out of a parking garage. He sold it to someone else for $3k. I say go for it.

this one is a 5spd, i ofcourse got on it to make sure everything works...i forgot how slow stock dsm's feel. but i had never driven a car with a t25...they are LOUD. spools up quick, its funny.

thanks for all your input, other than making sure the front end is tight, you guys have any suggestions of stuff to check out. Maybe im forgeting something here.

Check the crank. thats a 7 bolt with 150k miles. Possibility of crank walk right?

Defiant are you saying dsm's are going to be the end of me? if im going to die i always wanted it to be going fast...so hehe, ok.

I'm just askin around to see if people think its a good deal..idk what other people have paid for 2g dsms. i know my friend paid 10k for a 99 gs.
