Short Ram Air Intake

I got a short ram, as I don't like the idea of having my air filter right next to the ground where puddles and dirt and debris is flying around like crazy--merely personal preference, but im a former Jeeper, and i spent my time moving the intake UP not down---seen too many hydrolocked engines to want to put a filter down that low no matter what, i dont care abotu air bypass valves and whatnot...plus cleaning mud and grit out of K&N's can get old. Just wondering, i have the AEM short ram, does anyone make a heatshield for it? or do i have to fab my own....also are there any vents available for the hood? venting out hot air would create a vacuum, pulling cold air in from the front, over the engine and out, cooling both the engine and the intake air....at least this is how it worked on Jeeps...still kinda new to all this, but its something to consider...

As a lifetime jeeper, I feel it's my duty to inform you that getting rid of a jeep is blasphemy and subject to eternal damnation.....

haha--i needed something to drive back and forth to school, and a my 90' XJ wasnt doin the trick...but dont worry i still have a 95' Wrangler and an 02' Liberty (fake jeep but meh still says jeep) in the driveway.

ive also heard that the cold air is better. Just whatever you want i guess!! BTW, where'd ya get the clear corner bumper lights with the:dsm: on them?

Get the AEM V2 CAI system. I had mine for about a month and a half and I could really feel the power. I paid about 300 for it. You maybe should get your exhaust first because when I went to the track I was running just a little bit faster with the intake then when I was bone stock. I think this is because there is to much air flow and the stock exhaust is causing restriction.
