I know this question has been overkilled and over asked, but I did search and I did search for a while, but my exact questions could not be answered.

First of all, I have KYB coilovers on my '97 GST at the moment and it is slammed about 2.5 inches I would say(the previous owner lowered it). My stock shocks are shot so I was wondering what my next shocks should be. My price range is right around $500, nothing real higher than that.

I looked at KONI Yellows...they are a bit expensive, but if they are top of the line, maybe there are worth it. I read on the tuning guide they are around $600 for a set. I was wondering where everyone bought their's...maybe they are cheaper somewhere.

Any other suggestions on shocks would be much appreciated. Throw your opinions at me.

Check shox.com on the Koni Yellows. I wouldn't get anything else. Can't even compare the ride between the Konis and KYBs. Controlled ride versus pogo stick ride.

You might want to raise the car back up a bit at some point. 2.5" drop is really not practical IMHO. Neither is it good for handling. Depending on how careful the previous owner is... your toe and camber may be all out of whack.

Are Koni Yellow's and Koni Sports the same?

Also, is there a way to raise coilovers w/o the wrench? The previous owner did not supply and KYB doesn't sell them individually.

Koni Sport = Yellow.

KYB doesn't sell coilovers... so I assume you've got the Ground Control coilover conversion kit.

If it is a GC or similar (I'm not 100% sure) I think you just jack the car up, loosen the fixing allen screw on the collars and just turn them.

Others will probably chime in but you can get some info here: http://www.ground-control.com/
