Vancouver,
I am going to change oil in my diff and T-case, but can't decide between Redline MTL, ShockProof or GM Syncromesh. I think of Shockproof since T-case in DSM is prone to breakage but after I seen how thick that stuff is I am not sure.

Some people seem to use it, please let me know of your impressions.
Also I live in Canada so it's not a warmest climate @ winter, I do race my car on a strip ocasianlly but no over 3k drops:thumb:

Thankx

PS: I do have MTL in my tranny already

So I changed the T-case oil, just to find out that there was about 1/3 of amount that's suppose to be, and as an added bonus found 4-6 metal shavings

It's sort of bothers me, I had a car for 1 months now, and took it to the track for 4 runs, but never dumped the clutch, few high speed hwy runs, drove about 5000km already hopefully it's ok.

If my T-case goes, did anyone ever got it replaced under the recall?

They found that on mine when I bought it, 20K miles ago. The yoke recall had already been done.

I just got mine back last Tuesday. Another yoke and a new transfer. Chrysler paid for it all, although it took two days to get approval from the rep. I think my service manager did a lot in my favor to get it through, but it's still my understanding that it's not up to Chrysler. Because their lawyers lost, they have to keep replacing them. Probably a good thing for us, as I don't think a lot of people would be buying a new $2000 transfer case for a $6000 car.

If you go to Synchromesh, use Pennzoil's. Same (exactly) as the GM, but $4 a bottle cheaper.

I use Pennzoil's in mine because I was told also that shockproof is a little on the "thick side" for our trans case. O well... I had extra pennzoil so I used it and will continue to use it.
;)
