Shifting

Okay the clutch on my 90 gsx went out 2 days after I bought it. I replaced it, bled it and now it is hard to put into gear. I had adjusted it and it is all the way to the point where it will not be able to go any more. Why is it so hard to shift?

Is the clutch stock? I take it that this particular problem was not evident before the replacement of the clutch.

Don't force it into gear as it's hard on the forks, synchros and everything.

If you are absolutely sure you got all the air out if it, I would double check my install. This is assuming this is not an ACT 2600 or such. If it is, I can give you a thread to read.

No it isnt a stock one, but it is pretty close, it is from ebay, I will bleed it more here soon. We followed the Haynes manual on the installation of it.

Maybe the clutch wasn't bad so much as the pivot ball? Was it difficult to put into gear before the clutch swap?

No it was never hard to shift for the 2 days it ran haha

Also the clutch was not even workable, the guy put in a new clutch disc thats all, not even a pressure plate or a throw out bearing.
