Toronto,
Okay here is the deal, and hopefuly someone can get back to me about what kind of tranny fluid to use before I come back from class.

I've got my B&M short throw installed, engery suspension poly shifter bushings.

Gears still are kind of tough to put into gear, so I was wondering what kind of tranny fluid I should be using (like what weight?) I've been using royal purple, but justed wanted to see what other are using.

Got the answer I wanted byself, so scrap this post.

FYI: Stick with dealership "MANUAL TRANS-AXLE FLUID" not to be confused with manual transmission fluid.

Ditto.

I ran Redline synthetic MTX for about a year and a half. Four years later, as I'm picking all the little pieces of the plastic output shaft bearing race out of the casing, I wondered if the Redline made the plastic pieces brittle or something...

Not worth the risk imo. The tranny is fine in stock form. No reason to experiment with fluids.

What's the difference between the two?

Where does the "Manual Trans-Axle Fluid" go?

Where does the "Manual Transmission Fluid" go?

Well the question your asking is kind of off. You see the Manual Trans-axle fluid and Manual Trasmission fluid both serve the same purpose. So thus they both go in the same place, in your transmission.

HOWEVER

The Manual Trans-Axle fluid fromthe dealership is specifically meant for our cars, because it has special additives that work with the gears to keep em moving and such.

Manual Transmission Fluid is just not for our cars "were special :sneaky: " and we need something special.

I'd also like to take this time to advise everyone who is using manual trasnmission fluid instead of the dealer spcific stuff, please switch now.

I just got my fluid changed, and sad to say that it still feels kind of hard to get the car into gears, so I'm thinking its too late for this tranny, luckily I have another sitting in my garage waiting to be built and slapped in my other motor.

Good luck ya'll

Does anyone have any experience hearing strange sounds coming from their transmission using the wrong fluid? because this sounds like my problem.
Maybe, if you used water... I've never heard of it. You might want to ask this in a different forum than this one. We're talking about sticking with the factory suggested manual tranny fluid for the NV-T350 MTX found in all 2GNTs. Can't say we're the best people to ask about your Mitsu tranny. Sorry, bud.

No I meant in my N/T sorry I forgot to add that. I'm selling a 95 Talon ESI. But I think its the clutch wearing out but I never noticed it until after I changed the fluid and I didn't use the factory stuff I used some B&M fluid of some kind or another.

Do u guys think that could be what is wrong with my transmission. I used 2 bottles of the dealer stuff but then bought some cheap $3 stuff to fill the rest of it up... 3 weeks later it wont go into first gear... Any suggestions?
