I am having problem getting my car to go into gear sometimes. I have to fight with it. I'm pretty sure my clutch is going out. I have to push it clear to the floor to activate it. ROFL I was just wondering if replacing the shifter assembly would help it go into gear better. I've got the metal bushings to put on it. Is there a point in replacing it all. I'm afraid it may be the syncros going out. Any suggestions?

I didn't know there was a way to do that. I figured the clutch was just getting weak. I had my engine rebuilt a while back after burning out 2 valves. The mechanic said it was the clutch so I assumed I was right. How do you adjust it?

You go to the VFAQ site, or the tech articles here and look for the appropriate write-up.

Have you checked the clutch slave cylinder and/or master cylinder to see if they're leaking?

Edit: If you're having trouble locating a good write-up, I've located one for you: Linky
