Hey guys,
I'm setting my base timing and as of now it is 10* BTDC. My question is: should I leave it where it is or adjust it. If yes to adjusting it what should it be at? My car is almost stock.

It should be set to 5* BTDC with a timing light after grounding the terminal in the engine bay and disconnecting any datalogger from the DLC if you have one.

Also because of the typical problems with our crank pulleys (harmonic dampener) outer ring separating from the inner hub you should double check that the timing mark on the pulley lines up with the TDC mark on the front cover when the cam dowels are pointing up and their timing marks line up.

Thanks a lot for the information Steve. I thought it would be pretty basic but I didn't know the target number. Thanks again.
