toronto,
I put in FIC 650s tonight, set the MAF-T to 650 cc injectors, turned it on, and it sputtered for a second than died...
After some head scratching and pulling the injectors out and making sure everything was flush, than a good boost leak test, that wasnt the issue.
I than for some reason deicided I would set the MAF-T to 550s, and it worked magically smooth idle, perfect vacuum etc...
I than spoke to my friend who ahs 680s and he said his base setting was at 580's..
Why is the Translator like this?
Thanks

before i had my eprom w/chip i would set my maft to 750 and it would die when i start it up but when i richen my idle up it ran fine and idle fine... :thumb:

Its not the Maf-T problem, its the injectors. A LOT of companies who produce injectors like to test them at 16+ milliseconds, where mitsu tests and rates their injectors at 2-3 milliseconds. Your 650's are actually 580's aparently. You can compensate for this a little bit by bumping up the fuel pressure, but there is no subsitute for tuning. :dsm:
