seeking advice on 420a engine

hey guys! To start i wanna make it clear to everyone that iam bout the biggest noob out here so with that said, ### judge lightly . I have an Automatic 98 GS eclipse and i have looked all over on how i can go about fixing this issue iam having and havent found a good enough answer. My issue seems to be dealing with my Power steering (i think), when i drive my car for say more than an hour or so and then park it, i get bubbling liquid coming outa my power steering thingy. the cap is on tight and the seals are good. its as iff i have to costantly put more steering fluid in it every other day ### it keeps comin out. I was told that it was my hydrolic pump?? and something about how its not letting my fluids flow thru the engine like its posed to. Also to add, i am getting a high screetching sound when i turn my wheel far left/right and at times when its not screetching, i turn on my A/C and it starts again. Anyone have some advice on how to fix this? ### include cost of new part (if needed) and what part exactly imma need . (car stupid ova here BUT TRYIN TO LEARN DANGIT!)

The AC and Power steering belt are one and the same on the 420a's. If its screeching its slipping, which means it needs to be replaced. Start there and see if that solves your problems. Belt shouldn't cost too much.

Getting the belt off is fairly simple, you just need to losen the bolts on the PS pump and rock it back towards the motor should be able to pull it from there.

While you're at it make sure the pulley (here is the layout from the side, with the pulley I'm talking about -- http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/9507/copyofscanfj2.jpg ) is ok and spins freely.

There should be an adjuster bolt on the pulley for getting the tension right when you put the belt back on. I can't remember how it's laid out though, removed mine a long time ago o.o

Sounds like the pump is on its way out if it is spewing fluid at you.

When did this start?

Have you ever put any fluid into the power steering reservoir?

You said the seals are good, what seals are you talking about?

Your A/C is going to make it squeal until you fix this, Sounds like the pump is seizing up or is starting to.

power steering pump needs to be replaced and a new belt, the guy was some what correct it has to do with the pump is why the fluid it pushing back thru the cap because it isnt circulating correctly
