Security.... help ###.....i'm an idiot

Got in the car, and turned the wheel before cranking the car. Now the steering wheel is locked up and it's not allowing me to turn the key in the ignition. I know it's probably some security feature so please help me.... quick.....

Umm, turn the wheel a little, put the key in, put it on ACC or ON, and turn the wheel a little again, it will unlock. If you have an owners manual, you can find it in there too.

I agree that the steering wheel is locked due to being turned to far, just twist it the other way and it should free up

What is happening is the wheel lock is putting pressure on the ignition switch. So turn the wheel a bit to take the pressure off the lock and then you should be able to turn the key.
