second set of coilovers and one side still leaks

Maybe you guys can help me out. As stated Im running my second different suspension setup and the drivers side rear leaks still. What might cause both sets of these to leak on the driver side rear? Any help or suggestions would be great thanks.

What coilovers?
How long are they lasting?
How many miles did you get on each set?
Where did you get them?
Are they still in warranty?
What are your driving habits?
Do you slam that same pothole outside your house/work day after day?
Who is installing them?
What settings are they usually on?
How low is the ride height?

first was just the basic tokico with the eibach pro kit. second where the tein ss-p with the edfc. the tokicos had no more than 1000 miles on them. the teins have around 500. i got them both from the manufacture. they both do not have the warrenty. i drive around 500 miles on them a year if that. driving habits are cruising. i usually start to drive my car around april when almost all the salt is off the roads. two different shops have installed, one of them is well known around here for his work on dsms. the teins where on 0 to 12 clicks. i can fit 1 finger in between the fender and tire. im just puzzeled as to how the rear drivers side seems to be the only strut to leak. both of the tokicos and teins where installed according to what the manufacture specified in the installation guides that came with both setups lmk if you can come up with anything,because i sure cant.

was the car ever hit on that side and that strut might be getting stressed somehow from the body being slightly tweaked?

1 finger is low. Too low for the shock? Maybe.. it IS leaking.

How is it that you purchased these from the manufacturer but did not receive the warranty? I eBay'd my Illuminas and they still have their lifetime warranty.

well with the teins they only have a 1 year warrenty from it leaking or anything. the car has a clean title when i bought it and that was 4 years ago. so how low should i lower my car on coilovers? thats what i hate about most coilovers is they only come with a 1 year warrenty. but if you buy konis or kybs they come with lifetime.

It just sounds like your driving habits(just playin' devil's advocate), your ride height and driving environment are causing premature failure. If you replace the shock I would suggest altering those things before you blow the next one.

But truth be told, from the information at hand, it doesn't sound like they should be blowing all the time.

well im gunna go with koni sports and eibach pro kit and see if that helps. Since the konis have a shorter rod and the travel distance will be shorter. Plus ive read good things about that setup. So if the konis blow within 5000 miles than I have no idea what can cause them to blow/leak with the prokit only lowering the car to 1.2". Just curious how thatll look with 18" wheels

I don't recommend Prokits.
