You know when I took everything apart I set one of the pistons at tdc but how do I set it back where it should be?

I would take the plugs out and spin the motor till your TDC(screw drivers hit top 1 piston) and see if your cams line up that will tell you how far your off. Simple and easy to do.
If your off redo time and see if it runs better.
