Should know our house is heated with propane, but the furnace still needs electricity for the fan. But power was only out for a few hours Sunday night.

Still believes in 7 bolts, and I agree for the most part.

Should use a rotary to keep the weight down.
 
Should double think about that..Why do people do roteries or boxer engines..Keeping weight down yes but it goes past that when u talk about weight and also weight distribution as well as your roll center..Soo theres that.LOL
 
Should know in something like that the lighter the better and a n/a rotary can still make over 300hp while weighing a whole lot less, need less parts, and take up less room.
 
Is gonna add unnecessary weight just to balance the car?
 
Should know I want to build something like that someday too, so I've thought about it and I'd either use a rotary for the size and weight, or an air cooled Porsche engine. The advantage of the Porsche engine would be no coolant to plumb/cool and its already made for a rear engine application.
