Maybe should just get the Talon running for now and AWD swap it later.

knows i have the money to get it up and running stock. but then i would have to scrap or sell my GSX.

should get talon running, sell it, then with that money fix the GSX. a running car is worth a lot more than a torn apart car.

knows i am using the motor out of the talon, in which ever car i decide to keep... selling the talon with the built motor in it, just isn't an option.

Should know I don't see why. It's simple, you have a relitively short window of time to get rid on one car. How is it not best to fix up the easier one to fix and sell it for max amount of money to put towards fixing the one you want to keep and will be an expensive fix?

It's called a flip, and there are a few people on here who make a living doing it.

knows the motor in the gsx is toast... the keyway on the crank sprocket sheared off, and created some serious piston/valve contact. sure i can fix the talon and sell it... but the whole reason i bought the talon was because of the motor in it... otherwise i could have taken the 1500 and bought another motor.

Just needs pistons, valves, and maybe guides, not an entire engine. Easily obtainable for the $3000 you can sell a running driving turbo DSM for, plus a lot to spare for goodies. You can also get a 7bolt long block for well under $1000 and have the rest for goodies as well.

Then after you get it running, sell the 6bolt block and crank to an idiot newb for another few hundred bucks.

knows i also need to rebuild my head. also knows it wouldn't be any more profitable for me and would take much longer to do it coreys way... he has to understand that these are my only cars...

so you guys think it will be profitable for me to fix the talon and sell it? and ill be able to build a motor, thats the same caliber as the one in the talon now???

1500 for the car + struts + intake + windshield + exhaust + rims + tires + any other misc things i find wrong probably doesn't give me any profit...

by taking the motor, and parting the rest,,, ill be able to get close to a basically free built motor...

Should know that judging by your experience level, you don't need or want an engine of the caliber the Talon has. It will just be more problems for you.

how will it be more problems? it was professionally built, and will save me from having to rebuild with good internals when i go bigger...

sure my experience level is low... but everyone has to start somewhere, and i have plenty of friends and fellow DSMers like john around to help me out when i need it.
