Looks good in red

Should know I tried my spare ECU in the Talon and with some coaking I got it running. I couldn't find my timing light the other day, so now I really gotta find it cause the car runs pretty rough. I'm also gonna do a compression test tomorrow and a boost leak test once I get it home.

Has a wife so doesn't need dirty sites.

So guys, I got bad news. My Talon has sat since Oct. 2010 when it went down with a bad water pump and I had my Eclipse then so I never had any interest in fixing it. I finally wanted to get it running to drive for a bit and then sell and get some cash for the Eclipse. Last year I did a compression test and cyl #1 was decent but the other three were all low. I figured it had to be the MLS headgasket I had in since I had never had the block decked. I took the chance, replaced the headgasket with just a Mitsu composite and did the water pump now and I have it running. I set the ignition timing and it was a little better, but did a compression test and my numbers are (cyl #1-4) 139, 93, 60, 110. So I'll be selling it and see what I can get. If it isn't enough, I'll part it out.

In other news, I also took my Eclipse for a little drive just for fun and then did a compression test on that. 100, 138, 143, 145. Numbers aren't too bad but #1 is a little lower so it looks like I'll be doing a full rebuild on that. I wanted to do pistons anyway so this just gives me an excuse.

Should know I was never really a part of the first thread but have 950+ posts in this one.

Should know Bud has the most posts in this thread.

Just did some math for fun. This is my 959th post out of 5617 posts, so that's 17% of all posts. That is quite a bit. LOL
