SAFC RPM signal not reading

hey dsm peeps i just install my safc2 and the rm reading wont work. ok the knocking signal wont work as well. umm when i shut off my car the rpm signal come thru for about a plit second and yah. weird? TIPS plz would b helpfull thx guys.

does the rpm signal work on the dash? ya know, that thing next to the speedo? did you select the correct setting on the safc for your car when it asked for cylinders?

lo my bad . i meant rpm. and yes the tach gauge is workin properly. also yess i have the afc set to 4 cylinder.
