safc not working

ok so here it goes, i installed a safc 1 into my 1g. i got all the wiring done except for the pink and orange. I turned on the car and my safc is stuck on the main screen and it keeps highlighting monitor and screen. it goes back and forth. i cant get to any other screen or do anything. i tried to rewire it and nothing just stuck on the screen. has anyone had this problem before or any suggestion on ### it could be? it worked wen i pulled it off my 2g.

Did you put the grounds in the correct order on the ECU wire? I've seen some really weird things happen when they get reversed. You might also try and hook up just the power and grounds. You can also remove the back of the SAFC and make sure the harness isn't partially unplugged from the circuit board. I know the SAFC-II has the removable harness, but I'm not sure about the 1st gen. But it's not too hard to pull the back and check.

I had one that did the same thing and never did get it to work ,was told it was a software problem with the unit . I fix electronics and traced it back to the processor chip . good luck
