I was reading the tuning guide on prostreetonline.com about how to tune one of these for our dsm's, when through the process I noticed that most of the refferences was to our turbo 1G & 2G counterparts. So I was wondering if anyone had a guide for 420A motors, or can we use the same guide?

Of course, I feel I should mention that you could have total stand alone fuel control with ignition control for under $350 if you went with the Megasquirt, but yo each his own. :thumb:

This link is over a year old now and he references wbO2 sensors as running over $800. If you haven't bought it yet, you might still reconsider. To someone who's got a MS on the way, seeing someone by an SAFC2 is like seeing someone buy a Pentium3 computer for $1500. It's officially obsolete now. ;)
 
the whole mega squirt thing is cool and all, but you cant do crap with it unless you own a lap top. at least the s-afc its all right there. and you really dont need to screw with ignition timing unless you are boosting some decent numbers. then you need a built motor, and you dont need the mega squirt untill you've got the motor done ( not cheap ). so in that sense the s-afc isnt all that bad. you dont need a computer and it will tune your car pretty good even under a fair amount of boost. so i would say both are good, but yes the mega squirt does help if you are going to be running a lot of boost. but hey, its a free country and its just my personal thoughts on the subject.
 
any links to the mega squirt. i own a lap top as it is and wanting to use it some how to tune the car when i get to that a stage
