runs and dies???

Ok I have a 95 tsi that will start up and run ok for 30 sec and then dies if I give is gas in falls on its ass ?? Just don't know what it is got good spark ,fuel flow don't have a know what the psi it but I thank it is just some little sensor or something any ideas????

Do a boost leak test. Major boost leak = flat on it's face.

Major vac leak = can't control idle and dies.

So it will not run with out the turbo??

Did you take the turbo off and try? I don't think it will run without that.

So you did a boost leak test as done on Vfaq and found none?

Check your timing, this happened to me when I got my car. The timing was off bad because the previous owner failed to retime it after they did a water pump replacement.

Ya I thank the timing may be off just a bit just pout the motor in but I did not time it someone else did what is the maf ???

MAF = Mass Air Flow. Its the part on your intake right after the filter (stock) that has a sensor that measures air flow. it has a big wide wiring harness on it that you make sure is connected good. sounds like a boost leak to me. But check the timing... you can do this by taking out the spark plug in cylinder #1 (first plug by the timing belt) and turning the crank pulley clockwise with a 22mm or 7/8" socket until you see the timing marks on the cam gears point at eachother (should be pointing at eachother perfectly after a few rotations of the crank)

Theres a mark by the crank pully that should line up too you just have to look for it
