so i STILL can't post in tuning form.
i notice my gas mileage is horrible. i have an aem wideband a/f gauge, and when just cursing around, like 55-60, it varies between 14.7 and 15.1.
i have dsmlink 2.5 but my computer throws and error when trying to install it.
is that a/f high?

I think this needs to be in the NEWB section. Not that your a newb thats just where it should be. If a Mod could move this it would be great. OP youll get a better response there.

these cars are capable of 25-30 mpg when tuned properly, now my rich pig air/fuel are around 10-11 all the time so you wanna talk about crappy mpg LOL gettin her tuned soon !!!

I can't remember correctly the error but when I try to install it it wont let me. Ill check it out more tonight after work. And I'm not sure when my last tune up was. But ill give a tune up a try!
Also what can I buy to read my cel code?

lean cruise is better than stoichiometric cruise because you're burning less gas. so your AFR's at cruise are fine.

What are your AFRs like driving around town?

Rich AFR's are due to, but not limited to: exhaust leak (O2 overcompensation), bad O2 (ECU stuck in open loop, open loop = dump fuel until O2 is heated to go into closed loop), misfire...

BOOST! haha. Not kidding either, generally when a person is going to push their turbo/engine into positive manifold pressure (boost), they're WOT. During WOT conditions (or anytime after the throttle plate is open more than 80%) the ECU goes into open loop. Fuel dump dump dump. WOT = wants max power possible (power comes from the explosion of combustion of fuel, not air, bigger turbo = more air = more fuel = more power) :)

Check the codes and get back to us. That's the first thing on the list that has to be fixed before a proper diagnosis can be performed.

You could get your codes read at a local auto parts store for free. You need to pull the code(s) to properly diagnose whats going on here. It could be a number of things that would lead to the issues you are having. As for dsmlink, do you have the correct Eprom chip on your ECU, the correct OBD-cable for the dsmlink software on your computer?? You were not really specific so I have to ask..
