I just bought a 1995 GSX.

I am not sure of the modifications so I will do my best.

I was told the turbo is stock for a GSX but bigger than a GST??

it has a FMIC, BOV, Turbo back exhaust, Cams of some kind, Mechanical Boost Controller, air/fuel ratio gauge on a pillar, turbo timer, Injen Cold air intake. I guess I should take some pictures so I could get some help with the modifications.

The air/fuel ratio gage does not give me a number but at 60 MPH (around 2600 RPM) The gauge is three to four dashes filled on the lean side of the gauge. I am trying to describe this the best I can I am sorry. I can take pictures later today after work to help more.

I didnt know if the boost was to high...or if it just needs to be tuned. The boost at WOT is around 15 PSI. I hope i gave as much info as I could. Thanks for all the help guys. I will fill in my Mod list once I am sure of what i have. Thanks.

Solution
I figured out these issues last night. I will include a small write up for anyone who may have similar issues in the future.

Lean condition:

1. Boost leak around turbo (top pipe leading in from intercooler) Check this gasket really well if you have a FMIC. My gasket was not seated causing a HUGE boost leak.

2. Boost was at 26 PSI!!!! Previous owner had the boost controller adjusted the wrong way. To be clear COUNTER CLOCKWISE turns it down Clock wise turns it up! (now boosted at 15 PSI, with manual boost controller)

3. Fuel leak around Regulator. (tighten all fittings and clamps)

4. Wastegate actuator stuck shut. (simply remove and lubricate until unit becomes operational. If lubrication does not work replace unit)

5. Blow...
dude, theres a sale on aem uego widebands from one of the vendor, you can get one for around 150 ish, i run one and i recommend it over the lc1.

Both aem and innovative make great products. Check with some of the site vendors they can probably get you a better price than the manufacturer. I personally run the innovative because it is what the dsmlink guys reccomend to run with their tunning software.

Thanks for the info guys GREAT HELP! +REP to all of you. Do you guys know if there is a Starter relay/fuse on these cars. The starter is new but does not work when you turn the key forward.

I think I figured out my lean issue, I have a P0443 code reading, which is the EVAP Purge Solenoid. Which in turn could make me run lean. I think I am onto something here. If I am wrong please let me know LOL. I do have a wideband by the way, just to clarify from earlier.

there is another canister by my fuel tank? did not know that. also where do i get a boost leak tester? and how do i test for boost leaks?? My car cuts out at 4k rpm for some reason like boost/fuel cut. really violent but no backfire.

5. Blow off valve double springs, keeping the valve from opening. (check your blow off valve by carefully removing all small screws, I had an 8-10 psi spring inside of a 20-30 psi spring. At 15 psi the valve would not open. I removed the smaller spring and the BOV started to function correctly)

These are some of the issues I had and when fixed car pulls like a wild hog! Check all of these over if you have lean condition and or boost cut. I was cutting out because of the retarded amount of boost. Anything over 15-17 psi on a stock motor will not work! I have the boost set at 15 psi now and the car loves every bit of it! Thanks for all the help guys, if the MOD will change this to resolved please!
