I'm actually surprised I couldn't find anything of the sort on this site.

What has everyone been replacing their rubber insulators in the 2g radiator brackets with? Mine are old/torn and in generally poor shape. I have no mitsubishi dealer around here, but suppose I could go through a vendor on here.

I was just curious if anyone had found a rubber grommet from some store locally that they used to replace it.

The link to extremepsi is listed as a lower insulator. Is it the same as the upper insulator. I tried searching through CAPS, but it looks like it only has a part number listed for the bracket/insulator as one.

Any idea if they are the same piece?

They are not the same piece. The only way to get new upper insulators is to buy them with the radiator bracket. They're not that expensive, really.

Just an update to this. After much searching, I came across a pack of rubber grommets at Home Depot (same as the grommets people used for the injector insulators) made by Tyco Electronics. It's an assorted pack, and I ended up using the 3/4" and 1/2" grommets out of it. One pack was enough to do the job, and cost me $3.52. (The dealer wanted almost $32.00 / bracket for new ones). It fits the radiator supports well, and I got rid of those old, tired pieces of insulator that I had.

New radiator brackets (MR224262) are only $3.47 each from JNZ. But hey, if those grommets work then great!
