2G Rub or no rub?

I've seen some posts that say a 17 x 8.25 +35 offset with 235 + 45 tires will and some that say they won't.

I've got a lowered fwd 2g with 17 × 7 + 43 (I think) offset wheels with 235 x 45 ×17 tires. No rubbing on front or rear fenders. More than 1" gap on front and at least 1" on rear.

Is there any reason why the new wider wheel would cause them to rub?

Thanks, I did find that link but it doesn't give a definite answer.
Being that I'm keeping the same tire size and going with a inch and a quarter wider wheel and have adequate clearance right now should I assume that I shouldn't get fender rub?

It all comes down to the extend of which you are lowered and also suspension travel. My 2g is lowered and on 17x9 +35 with some 245/40 and I would say the tires are pretty much lined up on the outside of the front fender, no rubs on mine. So if you aren't stupid low you "should" be alright, I would suspect.

Tokico struts and springs so not too low. Sounds like I should be fine, just didn't want to install them and then find out I needed to get the fenders rolled.
