rtv gasket material?

whats the easiest way to get the remains of this off? I scraped most of it off but what about hard to reach spots? Is there some sort of liquid that will kill it so it just comes right off with water or break cleaner or something? Thanks.

An X-acto knife and time are your friends.

After scrapping the surface(s) the best you can, a rag with laquer thinner works very well. The laquer thinner can also be used to prep a surface before appling new rtv.

Steel brush + aluminum = f'd up aluminum


Only use a steel brush when the surface you are cleaning is steel.
I personally have a large supply of rubber buffer sloution that eats the stuff up. But laquer thinner should work too , then just get a rag and rub it off.
