Just like it says, I'm looking for a fitment comparison between these two uicps with regards to the stock fuse box, the potential to use a stock airbox, and lastly fitment regarding an upgraded SMIC.

I may not actually be able to get my hands on a Dave Brode pipe, whereas RRE's is readily available.

I have a Hahn 2g SMIC in the mail, and I may experiment with a Supra MkIV smic in the future.

Is one of these pipes better than another, for these purposes? Will one pipe have issue with an aftermarket SMIC? Because the connecting side of both those pipes are considerably different. I currently use a Greddy uicp, which works great, but I can't stand the big honking elbow that connects to the smic.

I know this is kinda old but you never got a reply and I recently bought RRE's UICP as well as the LICP because of the 14b. Anyways here's some pics:

The Brode pipe will not allow for the OEM airbox. Sorry - no dice.

No experience with the RRE or Brode pipes, but Dejon's UICP doesn't allow for the stock airbox either. The fuse box fitment is even a little tight. I found that my 1g BOV flange touches the latch for the fuse box cover, bending it slightly. I'm going to try to work that out, though.

If you absolutely need to use the stock airbox, you can always cut off the bottom corner of it and JBWeld a new plastic panel onto it to make everything fit. I'm almost sure that it wouldn't affect the filter or the brackets to modify it where the pipe would otherwise go.

And just one more for ya, maybe you can get an idea of how close everythng is. With RRE's I had no problem with the BOV touching anything:

Haha, I was waiting for someone to say something about that BOV line. But no, I know better than that, the previous owner did that. There's many things I had to fix these past few weeks I've owned the car. This is how it is now after I had recieved the LICP from RRE:

It almost looks like the RRE pipe is a little bit too long - the stock rubber elbow that goes to the throttle body looks like it has to bend quite a bit, more than stock. Is this just me of does it look like that to anyone else?

I was just wondering because my next upgrade was going to be the RRE upper and lower pipes, just curious how well they work

EDIT: Nevermind, dumb post, if I need to I'll just trim the rubber hose. Sometimes I amaze myself...

I have the DB UICP. Never considered stock airbox fit. That box was the first thing to go. But if you have strict smog visual rules I can understand why you would keep it. Dave Brode UICP review here:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-parts-feedback-reviews/229742-dave-brode-uicp.html
The DB pipe is 2.25" and the rest of my IC pipe is 2.5". I've considered changing it out because of this but I've read posts that compared the advantages of 3" over 2.5" IC pipe and the difference is negligible in my application. I doubt that the .25" difference going smaller makes much difference.
