My check engine light was on, it says the O2 sensor is bad i changed that and reset the computer but the light is still on. When I am driving I hit the gas about 50% and the engine's rpms dont increase or anything and every so often it gives a little misfire. Then I unplug my battery for 5 minutes and it runs good for about two days than it happens all over again so can anyone tell me what is happening?

another thing it could be somethign else but its triggering the oxygen sensor because what ever else it is is effecting the air fuel ratio causing it to run lean or rich.

I took it to the shop to have it looked at turns out that one of the wires connecting the O2 sensor to the engine was cut in half so they spliced the wires together and the engine light is off and the car runs great
