I have a 97' eclipse GS N/T. all stock except exhaust and cold air intake. i just took it to the shop to get a new seal around the head cause it was leakin and got it back had it for about two months after that and all of a sudden one day my CEL came on. ive had it tested two places and they said SYSTEM TOO LEAN. i have no idea what it could be.
the symptoms ive noticed include
-rough idle (lopey)
-when just cruisin takin the gas pedal easy. under 2.5-3K rpms the car jerks. kinda like a surge or a bog.
-sometimes when your under those RPMs and you give it gas it gives a bogging sound. (brrrrrrr)
-only happened a few times but when it was idleing it would act like it was going to die and a wierd hiss kinda noise (like it was trying to get more air) came out of the intake and when you rev it up to make it stop it would rev up and stay at those rpms for a sec or two before it would go back down. i was thnikin somethin like a vacuum but im not sure.
