Awesomely helpful thread. :thumb: I massively faded my NAPA Ceramics the other day doing two or three hard 90-0 stops. My pedal felt like it had lost half the fluid or something. Just turned to pudding on a 50 degree day. They were literally smoking when I pulled over. Needless to say I too am looking at an upgrade.

From my readings on rotors, the cross-drilled/slotted rotors also help get gunk off and out of the way (like mud or snow) which is part of the benefit for dirt/mountain bikes and the like as well as cars.

On the down side, I've watched rally races where cross drilled rotors have split after going through streams. The fast temperature change was too much for them. Only really important if you 4x4 your car though.

Oh, and the web page says Speed Factor is closed.

Most people on here including Greg Collier say to stick with slotted or blank rotors if you're road racing, as the extreme heat can crack drilled rotors, something to think about.

Multiple 130-35mph braking (such as going into turn 1 at Putnam Park) with pads like that, will not only fade the pads, but they will catch on fire, boil your brake fluid and melt the seals out of the caliper... BTDT :(

I'm going to try Polymatrix H compound with my new front setup :thumb: ,& w/ Porterfield R4E's out back, on the 8-9th, I'll let ya all know how she works. ;)
