Roll Cages

Seeing if anybody knows of a bolt in roll cage, or half of one, or even anything of that matter for a 1G. I would like to get a roll cage, but the companys here that make them will build it right into the car. Since i work for a powder coating company i would like to coat it, and thats not possible as they say its not removable after being made right in the car.

Any help please.

Also why is that 8-point rollcage so cheap? Also any more help would be great.

I have the 8 point from dsmparts. still working on installing it though. so far very happy with it and the price was right

it is of course a weld in cage though, so you would not be able to remove it to power coat it or anything like that.

well dsm parts wont ship to canada, and the second one is only the back part.
Is there anything else? I can atleast powder coat it and leave the edges to be welded blank.

I called DSMPARTS and they wont ship to Puerto Rico either... what gives... any other options?

To ship a cage to PR or Canada would cost a fortune, thats why !

How much does this thing weigh? And what are the dimensions of the box?

The main hoop peice didnt come in a box. All the other piping came in one box. Not sure of weight, but it was heavy enough that I had to drag it into my garage. That box was probably a little over 1 foot wide, by maybe a foot high, and about 6 or 7 feet long

So there is no way I would be able to bring it on an airline as a checked in bag?

I wonder if there would be a way to split it in at least 4 boxes to bring the weight down to under 70 lbs per box... limit imposed by the airline...

I need to find a good cage for my car cause I am totally redoing the motor and tranny, does anyone know if they make a cage that doesnt cover the back seat from being used for passengers
