Roll Cage

Hey guys, let me first off say, i'm new to this site. so help me out because i dont know what to do at all. second. i am putting a roll cage in my car and i was woundering if anyone on this site had the specs for a roll cage or how to install or build. if so please help. second. i have lite rust on my fender in the back like fender whell and was woundering how to stop it for now intill i have the money to fix and paint my hole car. thanks

Thanks man. that helps, but is there a place where i can buy a ready to install roll cage? that might sound idiotic but i have the meterials because my dad is a metal worker, but he doesnt have time to mess with my car. and i want a roll cage because they look good, and idk, i guess i just want one. ha. but yeah. any ready to install ones maybe? thanks guys.

www.swracecars.com has kits you can weld in, I used one on my 240z. It still requires you to trim and do all the fitting, but it at least has the pipes pre-notched to weld together and includes the plates to weld to the body. Click on there catalog link, then click on imports under roll bars.

Yes you can. my buddy actually has one in his basement for a 2g. It's one that you bolt down inside the car. He bought it used tho so we have no idea where it came from.

Could i get a second generation roll cage that would still fit my first gen? or are the specs diffrent on them. willing to buy from somebody if they have one they dont use.
