well after getting my wiseco 8:31 pistons i have a couple of questions:

#1 resize for big rods using ARP"s is around $175.00 plus arp"s for another $55.00 = $230.00
#2 since eagle rods come with arp"s i dont need to get them resized right? $315.00 only a $85.00 diff in price.

the block i have is a extra cyclone i am building over the winter.i put 200 miles on it in the car and pulled it out a month ago.crank looked good so I got it polished and i have all the clevite bearings ready for assembly.

The tolerances on Eagle rods, and most good rods, are set slightly tight. They do this in case you have certain preferences on clearance you can open them up easily at the machine shop.

The same thing applies to the piston/pin clearance. Have it checked, Wiseco pistons/pins are a little tight out of the box. You can still drop them in you engine and it'll run, but looser makes more power.

i dont want to spend $320.00 on eagles and have to resize for an extra $175.00 or so when i could just resize the big rods and save alot, see what i mean?im kinda tight on money so this is why am asking this and no im not skimping on the machine work where it needs to be.

Eagle rods come with arp rod bolts all you need to do is have the rod small end honed out for proper oil clearance for the pin. You may also want the big ends checked just to make sure they are all the same. Eagle rod big ends and pin ends are all over the place and need to be checked and corrected.
