So tomo It looks like im going to be heading to the tire store to throw the rims and rubber on.....

First off...car is dropped 2 inches....1990 Plymouth laser RS Turbo

205\40\17 are going to be going on(for this summer, no serious power upgrades till next)

I think this should look decent to good?? opinions or other people's similiar set up pics would be appreciated! :)

Thanks

205/40/17 are going to be very short at 23.5 inches tall and may look funny. The stock tire is a 205/55/16 which is about 25" tall. I have 225/45/17 (25") on which fill the wheel well nicely. If you are going to stick to a 205 width, a 205/45/17 or 205/50/17 may look better.

I think That pic and the way the tire is turned kinda makes the gap look bigger...My driveway kinda slants and is half uneven.

but even with that said, I'm only plannin on runnin the 205\40's for this summer, the traction is not there as much as i would like. So I'm going to be buying better tires for next summer(215\45 or 225\45?), and throw those on my motegi's for my civic or girlfriends civic.

tires are too small IMO... rims look good, but the tires look crappy. You should have went with at least 215/45 on those. Why ask for advice and then not take it?

I asked for advice in a way...Only asked for opinions on what ppl thought of the set up i was planning on. I do agree to an extent, tires look a lil small, but for my first set of rims and rubber that I bought I'm not complaing too much about it.

I did check out that tire size calculator. And have already adjusted for differences. at 50 my speedo says im doin 58-ish. 60 is about 65, 80 is abou 88-89.

they are Core Racing 'Drift' and not really, there is gun metal, but actually look more of a silver-ish color. atleast did when i checked 'em out. check out http://www.kaltire.com

man those wheels would look perf on my car :D nice pick

Hmm. Not feelin' those wheels. I also would have gone with a different tire. But, that is why it is your car, not mine. Enjoy! :talon:
