I don't think the rims should hurt the car mechanically at all. The only factor should be weight, and I don't know the difference in different wheels you are looking at. As for looks, I think they look great. Unless something wierd like the bolt pattern is off I would just mount new tyres on the wheels you have.

^^That's a quick way to earn negative rep.

SEVILLE 86-04 14x6 5x115 12x1.5 70.3 H

None of that works for a DSM.

D: I know!!! I don't like the rims... I was looking for some stockers, I made a thread on San Diego forums for rim recommendations, but no one gave me any.

I want to go to stock rims, but can't find any rims in good shape. The ones I've seen are cracked or need to much work. I have gone to the junkyard and they're bent... It's so sad...:barf:

I was also looking into getting Evo rims. They look sexy as hell black powder coated... I saw some on craigslist for 400$ or so

Still looking into finding rims if you're up for helping me find some!

If not then I was going to plasti-dip the rims black...

I'd go for some stock wheels from either a GST or Evo. Black Evo rims would look good IMO.

Yeah on my other post I said that! Evo rims look fly af when they're painted black!
Or the 2g gsx rims, not the 3rd gen! Sexy !! :dsm:

Just the rim, or the whole wheel?

Lets go with both since you asked that question.

I read on the forums that the stock tire 205 55 16 was ok. Not entirely sure if that was correct information.

I would go with stock rims until you know where you want to go with the car. Then if you decide to go drag or start racing road courses keep the stock ones so your not burning up expensive tires doing daily driving.

LOL. I've been doing it for a while, though I'm sure you've been at it longer.

I was guna go with some amazon.com black Motegis for my white 1g. I think it'll look pretty slick, check around on there.

In English:
I'm looking at some super-sweet Motegi wheels I found for sale on Amazon. You can look there.

I saw some mazda wheels on a 2g once that looked good with the car.. It was about 6 years ago though... they are the basic 5 spoke wheels that have a slight twist in them. Usually on mazda 6's LOL Motegi is good :D I used to have some Volk SF challenges on a 2g about 7 years ago.. VERY happy with those... I shoulda never sold them with the car :(
