i didnt respray it white again because i didnt want to have to shades of white so close to each other. it would have been pretty hard to match with rattle cans. i also only had the motor out of the car for a few days and was bored while i was waiting. i didnt feel like getting brake fluid everywhere, nor did i feel like cleaning it. the car really isnt anything to look at so i thought i would give it a shot and post to see what others opinions were.
 
ehh, im not a fan of that, it looks chunky kind of like it was smeared on..Can't say I'd trade my freshly painted engine bay for rhino liner..but to each his own.
 
I'm planning on using chip guard on my engine bay. You spray your color then the chip guard, the clear coat over it. I'm not sure if the produce this stuff in a rattle can but I guess that's one of the perks of being a painter =D. On anothe note defintly interesting project you did. Turned out pretty good but good luck if you ever have an engine bay fire. Your car will be toast befor you can even dial 911
