rewire kit?

i recieved my fuel pump rewire kit off of ebay and when it got here it came with directions for a 2g. I have a 1g. Will this work on my car? What would I need to make it work? Thanks.

The kit you bought should work fine, unless it was intended for a 2g FWD. The kit should be pretty straightforward, though -- just wires, connectors, and a relay. I assembled mine myself as shown on the VFAQ linked above. You should be good.

Alright, thanks for the help. I bought the 190 as well, so i might be back in here with questions! Is it a pretty straightforward job, installing the pump and rewiring?

Very straightforward. There is a VFAQ on installing the pump as well. Located here:

I found it to be a helpful reference when I was installing mine -- but it's pretty straightforward, especially for an AWD. You should not have any problems, but if you do, just let me know and I can walk you through it


EDIT: The only difficult part of installing the fuel pump is getting the O-Ring to seat properly without falling down in its housing. I found that creating a "spacer" out of a small piece of fuel line inserted underneath the O-Ring helps keep it in its place. Just a heads up, because once you have the pump in and rewired, it's a bi*** to have to take it out again due to a slipped O-Ring.
