i have a 92 galant vr-4, is there a rev limiter built into the stock ECU? other wise Im going to buy a MSD 6al for my car, any info would be great thanx :thumb:

I beleive rev limiter is @ 7500rpm. Are you having problems with your ignition system? The stock ignition is widely known to be quite stout.

thank you for everyone's input, but my question is when I roll up to the lights at the drag strip and I hold my foot to the floor will my car stall out at a certain RPM or will it rev till it blows?I leave the line at 6000 RPM rite know,I have a $5000 dollar motor at stake, just need some info thanx.

The rev-limiter will kick in and stop it from over-reving. Unless you downshift into a low gear that forces the motor to turn to fast. ie. hitting 2nd when going for forth :thumb:
