retard timing or no?

w/ out a dyno the rule of thumb is for every pound of boost you take away 2 degrees of timing. Our stock computers are really good at taking away timing already, the only problem is we have no way of finding out how much timing that is (and if someone does know please fill me in).

So check around 2gnt.com but I think most of the guys are running stock timing up that high, but some are pulling about 3-4 degrees out anywhere above 16psi.

Try to get on a dyno.

well I guess every tuner does it differently.

On the dyno, they start out with basically that calculation (2 deg./ psi of boost) and work backwards till they get it where they want it.

Like I said the hardpart for us is determining how much timing the stock ecu is taking out already because there is no timing mark on the crank. So the 10 degrees your taking out is in addtion to the stock ecu.

Don't worry though I took out 10 degree's on my car just to be safe when I'm trying to road tune, and I'll put it back in when I get back on the dyno for more fine tuning.
