Is it neccessary, or would it be suggested to "re-torque" the head studs after driving it X amount of miles after a head gasket replacement. Just wondering if that will keep the head from poorly seating causing another gasket blow out or leakeage.. Thanks

You shouldn't have to if the head was torqued properly from the beginning. I don't see how it would help...

Usually people just make sure they are torqued to spec when installing the head again. I haven't heard of anyone going back to make sure they were tight, but you could if you wanted to. I would say its fine if you did everything right the first time.

Only ARP headstuds are usually re-torqued that's where you probably heard that at. To be honest I don't know why exactly but it may have to do with them being studs and nuts instead of just bolts:confused: Point being stock head bolts do not need to be re-torqued

Re-torque-ing is only helpful with copper head gaskets.
