Hey guys it's getting that time of the year again, and I realized I have no heat! I had warm not hot air for awhile coming from my feet vents and not from the top ones?, but that was it, then it completely switched to cold air! I believe my thermostat is fine bc my aftermarket gauge shows my car getting warm and cooling of once thermostat opens up. It's nearly imposible for me to feel the hoses running to the heater core for heat but I believe it does circulate bc when I start my car I can hear the water circulating through. So that leaves to other issues that can cause the problems. Heatercore needs to be flushed( but why would I get warm air at my feet and not face). 2nd the baffle that directs the air over the heatercore is stuck closed! If someone can give me directions to which side of the centerconsole the arm is located and what is the easiest way to get at it. Can I get to it by just removing the kickpanel? Any advice would be great, thanks!

You don't have to "burb" the cooling system on our cars. Just take off the cap (on cold motor), turn on the car, add to fill coolant/ water untill motor is in normal operating temp, put cap back on, and make sure that your overflow tank is full. Theres a little hole in the tremostat that lets the air out.

Well it barely took any antifreeze, so I know that was not the issue. So it needs to be flushed or the flap is stuck so if someone can give me advice on the flap that would be great!

Burp.
The word is "BURP".

DSMs do not use a valve in the heater control: the core is always full-flow. If you aren't getting hot air, the most likely cause is that the air control door isn't moving. Check your actuator, cable, and control arm. Most likely is that the cable end is off or bent at the arm lever.

Found it and all seemed good while I looked at it and turned the knobs really fast suddenly I got hot air so I am guessing the baffle in the inside got stuck somehow.
