does it really require ripping out the whole dash?:notgood:
Yes. It's a miniature radiator/intercooler-looking thing enclosed in a plastic box. It's dimensions are approximately 18"x18"x20". It's hefty and you'd be surprised, looking at it, that it was actually under the dash somewhere.

Since you've got some time before it gets cold again up there in Washington, Rand, you could bypass the core (so it doesn't leak on you) by using a section of hose to connect the two water lines on the back of the block under the TB. Then start making arrangements for some rides during downtime if you don't have a DD.

I might still have the one from my old parts car available if you need it. Let me know.

Yes you are required to remove the dash. Fortunately that is not as tough as you may think. The dash comes out with about 10 bolts. There are two hidden under the tweets so dont get too frustrated looking for those.

95-96 and 97-99 are different style cores if you can find a used one.

Here is the picture dr1665 tried to post; I only saw the generic 2GNT remote hosting warning of Dino - "Dino Says, 'No Stealing Our Bandwidth!'"

LOL. Go Dino. I totally forgot about that. The image comes from the CAPS project on the 2GNT home page if anyone is looking for anything.

And sorry, Rand. The core I have is a 95.

Its cool guys, thanks for the help anyways. I talked to a guy who's a mitsu tech, and he's gonna help me do it today. So my car will be down for about 2 days or so.
