[RESOLVED] Stock 2G radio no sound after code...

Ok so yesterday I had unplugged my battery because something was draining the battery, and then when I plugged it back it the next day my radio reset so I put in the code, I made a mistake and put in the wrong code 3 times... and it locked it, so I finally remembered the right code, and then put it in and voilà, the radio turns on, so I turn the volume knob to the right and... NO SOUND!!! it was working perfectly fine the whole 2 years I had the car! i tried the radio/CD player/Tape player nothing. I looked in the CHILTON'S Repair Manual for my car and nothing in there could solve my problem.


I checked the radio fuse under the hood but that's useless anyways, because if the fuse was blown, the radio wouldn't even light up and come on... any suggestions on what to do next?

disconnect the battery again and re-enter the code THE RIGHT WAY the FIRST TIME and it should work

I tried that, my CEL just reset but the radio still doesn't have sound

You need to turn on the ignition with the engine OFF for about 45 minutes and the radio will re-set. Then put in the code again.

I just purchased a used radio from a member off here and the radio powers on,changes stations etc... but there is no audio. nothing happens at all when you move the volume not even bars saying its going up and no static. the previous owner says it worked fine anyone know whats going on? And the radio is not asking me for a code when I power it on.
