[RESOLVED] Still pushing 25 psi after MBC install.

I made my own Mbc i have the screw almost out but still goes to 25 psi. I am bone stock i checked my WG and it moves freely. Any suggestions? My exhaust is broken in have right at the flex pipe with this cause it?

Also i havent used a MBC ina while but isn't "All the way out" upping the boost??

i thought that to, but it says out for less boost and in for more, do i have this backwards? An there is nothing wrong with my MBc.

No by moving the screw all the way out you are loosening the tension which should lower the boost. Make sure that the spring isn't being compressed to much.. You might need to cut the spring to take some tension off it so you can control it.. you should be able to unscrew it and blow through the boost source side and then as you screw it in you should feel the ball get tight and not allow you to blow air through the mbc

why dont you just run a line from your boost source strait to your w/g actuator and see if your boost lowers then. If it dont then you have one of two issues. Either your wg actuator is bad or you have SEVERE boost creep.

For sure. I used a spring out of a old door latch. Its black spring metal, and has been working great. Its pretty easy to collapse. I also have a ball bearing on each end of the spring.

You mean a line from the j-pipe to the actuator right? Your diaphragm on your wg might be bad, blow into the vacuum line listen for air.

Still have Fuel Cut and pushing 25psi. Heres whats done to check what the prob is.
1. BLT-FIXED
2.Flapper-Moves Freely
3.All vac lines ziptied
4.New plugs and Wires.

What else could it be? how do i check the WGA is bad?

Wlak outside and The coolent is over flowing, not coming out but just coming from the tube under the car. Wow to much pressure.

you could check the actuator with a air nozzle or a pump. It shouldn't take much pressure for it to open.

I got a good one from a 14b if you want it let me know.

Yeah, test the wastegate actuator with a vacuum pump or a air compressor if you have one, It should open around 10psi.
If it wasn't doing it before you made the mbc, then it most likely isn't your issue.

I had the same problem about a year ago....turned out to be my actuator. Since nothing happened when you connected the j-pipe straight to it suggests yours is bad. remove and replace it - problem solved. Call up RRE they might have one laying around for cheap...

Let me ask you something. Looking at the rod on the actuator, is the rod straight one piece? Or does it look to have adjustable length, like threads with a nut?
