I think i shorted out something but i haven't had a problem like this before. I was tightening my alternator belt because it was squeaking(being that i left it semi loose when previously fixing a powersteering leak). After i was finished i was tightening the last bolt and i accidently touched the wrench to something bad apparently. There was a big flash between my alternator and something... After this my alternator didn't seem to work as well. Also any time i put a load on my alternator when im driving by say pressing the brake or turning on the heater my radio flickers off for a moment.
THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS that when i turn on my ignition before i start the car, NOTHING WORKS. My radio wont work, my auto seatbelt wont come back nothing. the only thing that seems to have a sense that the ignition was turned on is the gages and my turbo timer. At this point i proceed to start the car and then everything works but constantly fails any time i put a load on my alternator. Why are my electronic devices bypassing my battery and only depending on my alternator? please help!!!
