so after my secound post i got my ignition fixed and today i was putting my switch put back in and i was trying to screw in the screw that hold the switch to the housing and i moved the pliers to far and hit the wire a couple sparks flew and now my car won't start. all my lights work but when i turn my key to start it my gauges stay black and it won't start. I want to know where the fuse or Relay is for the switch is i looked on mitchel and on here and i can't find it someone please help.

I'm not sure where the fuse or relay is, but for the fuses check the underhood box and the box under the dash.

Lesson learned for you, don't work on the car with the battery still hooked up.

ya... it's one of thoes oh s***, i should have unhooked the battery moments LOL.

wow i can't believe i never looked and im spose to be an apprentice LOL my mind wasn't thinking and it was completely noobish of me but i just checked the fuse off the positive terminal and of course it was right there and blown LOL thanks alot guys have a good one and next time the batterys getting disconnected. have a good one

I do it any time I do anything with my car, after catching an arc off the alternator with my wrench trying to get the exhaust heat shield off. Luckily no damage. Didn't get the shield off though. Said screw it until I can get a better angle on it. Can't even remember why I was trying to do that now.

ya i do that alot, why am i doing this again? LOL then a couple days down the road your rember why and start it again or your thinking that it's going to make a huge diffrence and it doesn't at all. but we all love working on our DSM's even if we aren't seeing any progress
