Ok my car was running fine and does to some point...but here is whats going on.

My car drives and revs fine through first two gears....then 3rd is fine till i get to 10-12 psi....then the car bogs and starts to shake violently and acts like its missing out bad. This happens in 4th and 5th when i get to 10-12 psi

any help is greatly appreciated.

I wish I had a dollar for every one of these threads LOL.

Do a boost leak test. If you don't know how, search, there's plenty of info about making a very cheap tester and info on how to use it.

If the test checks out fine, pull the plugs. Examine them, clean and re-gap (0.28-0.31), though I would recommend staying around the 0.28 area.

What other mods do you have done?

What kind of BOV do you have? Please don't tell me you're venting on the stock plastic one...Yes, I've seen this before...

More than likely it's probably just a simple boost leak, though.

Good luck and I hope you figure out the problem.

LOL whoops my fault...You all know what I meant though hahaha

EDIT > Although, I wonder how a 0.28 gap would work...I'm gonna go try it, come back, then start a thread about why my car won't start LOL.

haha i have a recirculated 1g bov...and my plugs are new...i also did a boost leak test last weekend...this happened out of the blue....im lost on it any other ideas.

Answer - it's a Mitsubishi. LOL

How are the wires? I'd pull the plugs out again just to check them, and clean them anyway...
What kind of plugs did you get when you replaced them?

As for the boost leak test, it's easy to say it "passed". You have to pay very, very close attention when doing the boost leak test. It could be a very quiet, small air leak somewhere causing this problem. It also helps spraying some soapy water on the intercooler piping, throttle boddy, etc. (Though you could use FLOUR like my buddy did LOL).
Are you using premium gas? Did you get your gas somewhere different the last time? Do anything different to the car lately? (Like use a fuel additive, touch the boost, use SeaFoam, kill the Japanese guy that lives in the motor)?

Answer = Do a boost leak test with soapy water. Check your plugs, who cares if they are new.

If you were beating on the car, you could have created another boost leak.

A boost leak test is something that should be done very often. Just because it was ok last week doesn't mean it's ok this week.

I can attest to this. I found out I blew a Throttle body gasket after only a month after I tested it.

If it passes a boost leak test, I'd check your sparkplug cables. If you don't know when they were last changed, replace them.

I had a customer come in to the shop not long ago he was having the same problem on his car the wast gate was hanging open this my or my not help but i do agree you should do a boost test

thanks ill let you guys know what i find i have new wires and the plugs i will check.....but yea all set up to do a test tonight.........i was afraid i had somthing wrong with my fuel or a sensor which is a lot more expensive than a boost test:D

First i would like to say thanks..........I happened to have a HUGE boost leak where my dejon pipe bolted to my intercooler...........i put it on as good as I could and my car runs much better and it acually has less boost spike......so thanks to all for the help.
